With the release of music the album artwork can have a profound impact. It can provide the artist the opportunity to convey any message he or she wants before the consumer has a chance to hear the music. Here, with the Reimagining of Jay-Z, Aaron wanted to recreate each album cover based upon the way that he envisioned them when listening to the music. While at the same time capturing the evolution of not of Jay-Z the artist but Shawn Carter the business man by telling a story thru each cover. Although every image may not technically be accurate by the year in which they were actually captured, they all fit the mood and tones of each one of Jay’s albums. From Reasonable Doubt to the Magna Carter Holy Grail each cover has been given a completely new look.
