In a bold move to make a lasting impression as they entered the competitive US market, Gorillas—an innovative on-demand grocery delivery app—set its sights on New York City, with a mission to introduce a revolutionary way for city dwellers to shop directly from their mobile devices, Gorillas sought to engage the local community and create buzz in one of the world’s most dynamic urban environments.
To break through the noise and effectively capture attention, we designed a multifaceted, highly creative out-of-home (OOH) campaign that embraced the energy and vibrancy of NYC. The campaign featured a combination of wild postings, street stencils, and large-scale OOH media placements that brought Gorillas’ brand directly into the public sphere. These eye-catching elements were strategically placed in high-traffic areas and neighborhoods with strong foot traffic, ensuring maximum visibility and engagement.
In addition to the street-level tactics, we also deployed a series of immersive, attention-grabbing OOH installations in key locations around the city. These installations acted as both physical brand touchpoints and interactive moments that encouraged New Yorkers to engage with the brand firsthand. Whether it was a playful mural that beckoned passersby to stop and snap a photo, or a creative pop-up installation that highlighted Gorillas’ unique selling points, each touchpoint was designed to spark curiosity and encourage immediate action.
The result was an integrated campaign that not only introduced Gorillas as a new player in the US grocery delivery space but also created a memorable experience for New Yorkers—one that immersed them in the brand and its promise of a faster, more convenient way to shop. Through a combination of traditional OOH media and experiential marketing, the campaign effectively established Gorillas as a fun, accessible, and essential service for city living. It wasn’t just about selling groceries; it was about creating a connection with the community and positioning Gorillas as a fresh, modern solution in the heart of NYC.
