Square and American Express teamed up to bring the Culinary Creators Project to Toronto, pulling out all the stops for the biggest event they’ve ever hosted for the platform. The night kicked off with an exciting panel featuring culinary heavyweights Nicki Laborie, Patrick Kiss, Craig Harding, and Derek Wasser, sharing their insights and experiences. After the panel, the fun didn’t stop—guests were free to roam and interact directly with the chefs, a food stylist, and explore engaging activations like the AMEX POP (Point of Purchase) Booth and the “Let’s Dish” booth, which encouraged guests to connect and share stories about their own restaurant experiences.
Throughout the evening, the atmosphere was electric. We kept the energy flowing with tray-passed bites from the Food Dudes, plus exclusive dishes prepared by each of the chef panelists. Guests sipped on specialty cocktails at the bar, while a live DJ spun the perfect soundtrack to keep everyone dancing and mingling.
The night was a massive success, drawing over 250 of Toronto’s top restaurateurs, making it a major milestone for Square and American Express. This Monday night celebration was not just a culinary event—it was a vibrant, high-energy experience that brought together some of the city’s most creative minds in food, hospitality, and business.
